Ian Tonks is a business development coach and author of the book “Replacing the Rainmaker.” He helps accounting firms to implement practices that ensure their long-term business development success. Prior to founding Replacing the Rainmaker, Ian spent seven years as president of an international multi-sport camp and sporting goods provider and three years as associate vice president of advancement and athletics at a Bay Area university. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sports science from the University of Northumbria and an MBA in strategic leadership from Dominican University of California. Outside of work, his passions include exercise, golf and travel. A native of England, he lives in Irvine, California, with his wife and daughter.
